Join us for a street meeting and gathering to Defend Trans People and everyone who is under attack by the Trump administration.

ANSWER Chicago organizers and Trans activists Vex Humana and Billie Kincaid are facilitating the street meeting!

Trans people cannot be erased and we must and will come out into the streets to fight back. Bring your signs and Trans flags. We will have petitions and literature to distribute. We will also have a bullhorn for chants and an open mic.

Trump’s attack on Trans people are an outrageous assault on the Trans community but it is also attack on all workers and all poor and oppressed people. We will not be divided and we will not wait for some politician or non-profit to save us. We will fight back by building the biggest unity we can. We will build a movement against racism, war and all forms of bigotry. An injury to one, is an injury to all!

As you know, hours ago, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was forced out.

In his place, Donald Trump has decided to appoint a partisan loyalist who has published op-eds slamming Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

What’s more, The Justice Department says acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker will immediately take over supervising special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation from Rod Rosenstein, the embattled deputy attorney general.

The red line has been crossed. In response, the Trump is Not Above the Law coalition is calling for nationwide rapid response protests tomorrow—Thursday, November 8— at 5 pm

Let’s be clear: Matt Whitaker cannot have oversight of the Russia investigation, and must allow the investigation to continue.

We will be rallying in Federal Plaza Nov 30th at 11am to end US involvement in in the Saudi war on Yemen. At this event, we will be laying out 44 backpacks to symbolize the lives of the 44 Yemeni children who lost their lives because a Lockheed Martin missile launched by a Saudi warplane on August 7th 2018.

The US has been complicit in war crimes in Yemen for years and it’s time to cut support. There will be several guest speakers including Yemen-born activist and scholar Shireen Al-Adeimi.

We hope this rally helps people learn about the conflict and gets them to pressure congress to stop the war.
