Three days after Donald Trump issued his Muslim Ban, and one day after a far-right racist in Québec murdered six Muslims in a Quebec City mosque, the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics announced its intention to invite Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, “to discuss the rise of Trump, the current President’s management style, and why many Americans found Trump so relatable.”

We invite all of Chicago to take a stand against this normalization of bigotry, please share widely.

CPS has announced a new round of cuts–this time totaling $46M. Instead of taking steps to reallocate TIF funds and implement a LaSalle street tax, CPS has decided to defund our education to remedy their mismanaged budget’s deficit.

The students of Chicago will not stand for another round of racially discriminatory and financially irresponsible budget cuts. Gov. Rauner, Mayor Emmanuel, and CPS CEO Claypool are launching an attack on public education, join us as we fight back!

We are calling for a meeting between student leaders and CPS officials to discuss real, long term solutions to the budget crisis.CPS has announced $46 million in budget cuts. These ten schools are losing 5% of their budgets, the highest amount in this round of cuts. The majority of these schools are top performing, ranked as CPS level one. However, these schools are also predominantly black and brown, low income, and have above average percentages of families with limited English.

In Jun 2015, a group of Mexicans, with the support of other Latinos in Chicago, decided to hold the first protest in the US against the racist and xenophobic insults against Mexicans and Latinos of then just announced candidate Donald Trump during his visit to the City Club of Chicago. (View photo.)

Now we will return to the Trump Tower to express peacefully our repudiation of hate politics and rhetoric that provokes discrimination and crimes against the most vulnerable people. Also, as Mexican men and women, Latinos and Latinas will firmly reject the proposal to build a border wall that will only cause damage and disruption and that will not solve anything.

Come and join us, all are welcome. Say NO to hate, shout NO to the Trump Wall!

And we, in vast numbers, from all corners of the world, will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure. We will show the media and the politicians what standing with him — and against us — means. And most importantly, we will bury the White House post office in pink slips, all informing Donnie that he’s fired.

Operation “Kiss Our Asses, Release Your Taxes!”

In 2006, a Maryland state circuit court determined that mooning is a form of artistic expression protected by the First Amendment as a form of speech.

Donald Trump doesn’t think the American people want to see his tax returns, so let’s show him that we do in the classiest way possible!

Meet at 3:30 PM at Trump Tower, right in front by the riverside. At the crack of 4:00 PM (pun intended), we’ll pull down our pants for a whole 10 seconds and send a powerful message to the Washington elites.

Throughout all of the protesting going on I think we needed a protest centered around the hatred and lies Trump has spread about Mexicans and immigrants. Remember: We did not cross the border. The border crossed us.

This protest is definitely open to ALL Latinos no matter where you are from. Chicago has a very large Latino community and we need to come out in solidarity with each other.
