The Department of Justice has yet to act on our demand for justice for Laquan McDonald and all those included in the 50 cases we submitted to them in 2016. We need justice for all those murdered by police! And Laquan McDonald’s killer, Jason Van Dyke, walking free after serving only 39 months of his 81 month sentence, is nowhere near justice. It’s a reflection of the extent this system will go to protect killer kkkops from consequences, just as we saw most recently in Minneapolis in the case of Daunte Wright. We must bring an end to police murdering with impunity! The DOJ has the power to bring federal charges against Jason Van Dyke, and we will continue to pressure them until they do.
