Bike protests have been a method over the years that Chicagoans have used to demand safety. This bike protest will highlight the daily threat to safety that Chicago Police pose to the black community. We are outraged that even in one’s own home, being black could be a death sentence.

And yet, the city of Chicago has not taken necessary actions to limit the power that police have. There are two very feasible options that this protest demands from our city: the passing of CPAC legislation and the defunding of police. Chicago is one of the few large cities that has yet to make a concerted effort to defund the police. Our protest seeks to change that.

Please join us as we ride eight miles to honor George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Laquan McDonald and all of the lives that were not lost in vain.

This protest does not endorse violence of any kind. Please come in peace! Even though riding, we encourage all to wear masks throughout the protests. Bring snacks and water to share.
