A benign act of wall chalk art was met with angry screams from a bystander mad to have to “see it in HIS neighborhood” and a near-arrest by 4 police squads.
Well it’s our neighborhood too. Let’s show that Andersonville does not belong only to racist gay white men furious at their brunch being interrupted by #BlackLivesMatter.
In the spirit of ACT-UP, we’ll show solidarity and cover the sidewalks with calls to end police violence, and over-funding of police departments.
We do this for George, for Breonna, Laquan, Sandra, and countless others. We do this for Tony McDade and Black trans people everywhere.
