In remembrance of George Floyd and countless other African Americans who have died as a result of police brutality, systematic racism and injustice, we invite you to join Faith Leaders and Congregations Tuesday, June 2, at 6 PM for a peaceful demonstration of solidarity. See link for more details.
We will practice social distancing and please wear a mask.
For those who cannot walk there will be a bike and vehicle caravan following those marching. Please line up bikes and vehicles south bound on King Drive between 24th and Cermak.
ROUTE: Gather at the Bronzevill Statue, located at 26th Place & Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. We will peacefully march south to 51st Street. We will turn East and end at Washington Park behind Walter Dyett High School located at 51st & St. Lawrence Ave. We will be done by 8 pm to allow all participants to return home safely.
