The GOP’s deal with the devil is signed, sealed, and delivered. They’ve sold their souls, but the soul of our country is ours to defend.

The GOP Senate’s coverup of Donald Trump’s crimes has obliterated the checks and balances our founders created to protect our republic. Wednesday’s vote is yet another declaration that the Party of Trump cares more for power than for democracy, accepts bullying tactics as an alternative to the rule of law.

It’s time, yet again, to declare that we won’t be silenced while our country slides into authoritarianism. Join Indivisible Chicago as we gather in Federal Plaza to reject the coverup engineered by Mitch McConnell in service to and in partnership with the Trump White House.

Our nation is festering with racism and xenophobia, too many of our neighbors have lost access to affordable housing and fair wages, and Trump’s tax cuts for the billionaires rob our communities of funding for critical human services. Trump and his Republican enablers freely and derisively attack immigrants, women’s reproductive rights, the environment, and–with this latest crime, even threaten our national security in service to Trump’s personal benefit..
