This is it y’all. This Wednesday, City Council will take the final votes to finalize approval and allow for construction to begin. We’re fighting to the end, and we are beyond proud of what we’ve built and won so far. It’s been almost 18 months and we’ve done so much, from stickers to sit-ins to mayoral endorsements. Still, City Council ignores our popular, city-wide demand for #NoCopAcademy. So let’s make sure they can’t ignore us and show up loud and clear.

There are other major projects Rahm is pushing through City Council on Wednesday as well, so we will be there in solidarity with our friends from #HelloNoHilco & Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO) resisting the HilCo development poised for final approval, and others who have been working to #DelayTheTIF and stop the Lincoln Yards mega-development. Rahm is proving his commitment to corruption and racist displacement in his final days in City Hall.
