This is a case of police torture. Gerald Reed has been in prison for 28 years. His case was confirmed by the Torture Inquiry and Relief Commission (TIRC) (https://goo.gl/pcVwUv). In Gerald’s case this is what TIRC stated “Pursuant to 775 ILCS 40/45(c) and 2 Ill. Adm. Code 3500.385(b), it is the decision of the
Commission that, by a preponderance of the evidence, there is sufficient evidence of torture to conclude the Claim is credible and merits judicial review for appropriate relief. ”

Many of you fought so hard for brothers and sisters to be afforded with hearings on their claims of torture. Come and stand with Gerald’s mom, Armanda Schackleford, in the courtroom as she seeks the release of her son Gerald who she has been separated from her son for over 29 years of his life.
