On October 12, 2014, Ronald “RonnieMan” Johnson was murdered by CPD Officer George Hernandez.
A week later, LaQuan was murdered. Both murders were covered up for over a year. Last week, we saw the historic conviction of Office Jason Van Dyke for the murder of Laquan McDonald, but we know the fight is not over. We must find justice for every family impacted by police violence.
Join us in a candle light vigil to honor the legacy of Ronald Johnson, the beautiful children he left behind, and the powerful family that continues to fight for justice.
We will be gathering at RonnieMan Park, near the playground at 53rd and King, where he was murdered.
