Within the next week, 24 million people could lose their health care. On Tuesday, we will come together and hold vigil for those who are already being lost due to health care neglect, and for those who will be lost if Trumpcare passes.

Even with the Affordable Care Act in place, there are people suffering, dying and crowdfunding for their lives, for lack of health care. The disabled, the chronically ill, the impoverished and the criminalized are already without adequate care and services, and under Trumpcare, conditions will deteriorate for many.

This bill is a form of state violence, and we are committed to creating a space where community members can connect, hear each other’s stories, and get informed about the levels of action they can take to defend themselves and their communities from this harm.

Signs are encouraged. We will prepare some, but we encourage you to bring your own signs with your own message or story, or a message about who you are fighting for.

This event is being organized in community collaboration with Lifted Voices and other friends and co-strugglers.
