This Wednesday, April 19th, the notorious EPA Commissioner Scott Pruitt is visiting East Chicago, IN.
While Pruitt has spent his career working to dismantle vital environmental protections, residents in East Chicago have been organizing for years to get cleaner air and water for their community.
East Chicago is disproportionately burdened with industrial pollution from nearby facilities like the BP Oil Refinery, a US steel facility which recently spilled into Lake Michigan, and the now defunct USS Lead facility.
The community of East Chicago is asking allies to come rally in support of their demands for environmental justice, clean water, and healthcare for all.
